The core ele­ment of this project is the pro­mo­tion of crit­i­cal think­ing and the cul­ti­va­tion of student?s metacog­ni­tive abil­i­ties by reflect­ing upon news media reports and by com­ment­ing analo­gies in sim­i­lar his­tor­i­cal events from the past to the present.

This process should pro­vide to the stu­dents the nec­es­sary cog­ni­tive strate­gies to crit­i­cally reflect upon recent of near future events.

Our project uses blended learn­ing fea­tures such as: face2face teach­ing, asyn­chro­nous learn­ing and Com­mu­nity of Inquiry prac­tises. Tar­get group is mainly stu­dents (boys and girls) with an age range from 14 up to 16 years old. A his­tory teacher with some medium IT knowl­edge is required for the imple­men­ta­tion and facil­i­ta­tion of this project. See attach­ment
