Abstract
The core element of this project is the promotion of critical thinking and the cultivation of student?s metacognitive abilities by reflecting upon news media reports and by commenting analogies in similar historical events from the past to the present.
This process should provide to the students the necessary cognitive strategies to critically reflect upon recent of near future events.
Our project uses blended learning features such as: face2face teaching, asynchronous learning and Community of Inquiry practises. Target group is mainly students (boys and girls) with an age range from 14 up to 16 years old. A history teacher with some medium IT knowledge is required for the implementation and facilitation of this project. See attachment
